If installing a geothermal heat pump, what is the condition of the soil?
$ - When the excavation is straightforward and the soil is easily workable.
$$ - When the excavation is complicated by rocky or clay-filled soil.
What size heat pump do I need? The heating load should always be calculated by an HVAC professional. It will depend on a number of factors including square footage of the home, insulation of the home, surrounding weather and climate, etc.
